Here's just a sample of the typical materials and systems which we test for clients on a regular basis:

Roofing Materials

· BS EN 492 and BS EN 494 for slates and roof sheets.

Fixings and Fasteners

· Tensile and shear testing

· from drywall screws to structural anchors

· DOT Standards for fixing used in highways

· Annual assessment for anchor devices for use with PPE

· Load testing of suspension hooks

· providing peace of mind in critical load carrying situations!

This is a good example of the spread of skills within B.I.T.S. These tests are performed both as on-site and laboratory tests with the resultant data produced being used by the client for a range of purposes including the development of a manufactured product and the subsequent production of technical literature.
